JASTECA Institute of Management (JIM) is the Management Training arm of JASTECA. JIM was formed to provide Training to Sri Lankan business organizations – especially corporates – for their supervisory, operational management and senior management cadres, through assisting the returned participants to disseminate their training results in local industry: helping to organize training programs in their companies and inviting them to be resource personel in the JASTECA Institute of Management.
JIM conducts both public and in-house programs on a wide spectrum of topics as follows: Japanese Techniques of Management, Leadership, Motivation, Supervisory Skills Development, Human Resource Management, Secretarial Skills, Production Management, Marketing Management, Project Management etc. Management training programs are conducted in English whilst programs focusing on operational managers and supervisors are conducted bilingually in English/Sinhala. JIM also undertakes to deliver customized training programs to suit the internal in-house training needs of its clients.
JIM enlists the services of high caliber resource persons of proven track record with required academic excellence and adequate practical exposure. While one day seminars/workshops have proved very successful, JIM also organizes short duration programs of a few days.
JIM has trained about 2500 participants during the past two years alone. With JASTECA’s emphasis on inculcating Japanese Management Techniques amongst Sri Lankan business entities, JIM has vigorously conducted in-depth training programs in 5S, Kaizen, Quality & Productivity Enhancement etc.
